I couldn't pass these guys up for the Broodstock system when I went to the LFS.  I will have to do an update with what I have in the Broodstock system soon

I've had good luck there, one of the few place that I frequent and will buy from regularly in Metro Detroit

Here are the latest videos.  I am having some algae issues that I am hoping will be fixed once I get the RODI hooked which should be the next couple of days.

The barred one is actually a mutlibar angelfish.  I have had a couple before and lost them.  They had one a Pruess so I decided to give it another try

Re:New House, new Fish Room Build (permalink)
I screwed up!!!!

In my excitement to get the display tank up and running I didn't quarantine my fish as long as should of.  I now ick outbreak, so now I have to take all the fish out and start copper treament (except the angel, which is going in hypo) and leave the tank fallow for the next 6-8 weeks. I need to learn to be more patient sometimes!!!

I have the QT/hospital tanks set up so hopefully tonight I will have some time to catch the fish out of the display and get them in the QT tanks.

Why not just add a few cleaner shrimp ???

They are cool critters and keep fish healthy.

Cleaner shrimp won't cure the ick though

I have all the fish caught and in QT with copper (except the angel).  Going to do some work on the filtration system and get my calcium reactor up and running also.

We have 5 tangs in a 180 and  two cleaner shrimp seems to keep them ich free.
Good luck with the treatments, sometimes they are rough on the fish.

Re:New House, new Fish Room Build (permalink)
I will make it through just fine.  The fish so far are doing ok.  I still haven't really seen the multi barred angel eat which concerns me.   He is hypo while the rest of the fish are in copper.  Tomorrow I should be picking up a Mars system and am going to be making some changes in the fish room

Re:New House, new Fish Room Build (permalink)
If I were you, I would put all the fish in Copper including the angel, copper kills a lot more things than hypo will.  And its more work having 2 QT tanks going.
