Day 55.

Sorry. It's been a while. The fish are developing fine. Many, many of them have now abandoned the clown balls and even the sides of the vessel and are now staking their claims out in the open waters. I've been fighting a bit of a bacterial situation and the water's been mighty cloudy. The fish all seem fine and I've had no losses since the last one reported here, but it was still worrisome for a while. Things have been getting back on track, though. So, please excuse the cloudiness in the photos. The fish are now starting to avoid being photographed and I have to shoot them through more water. Since the water is a little cloudy still, more water = more gunk between the camera and the fish.

I think if I ever have to write a monthly column for anything I'll name it, "Notes from the clown ball." Of course, it'll probably have something to do with typesetting and then the title won't sound so nice.

I've seen some that are getting definite areas of black, but I wasn't able to find any with the camera tonight. I'll keep trying.

I am sitting right at 80 degrees in there. That might be slowing them down a little. I don't mind though. I'm enjoying watching them develop.

You're killing me with these awesome pics! They are definitely getting their bars slower than the majority of my picasso offspring but much faster than normal A. percula.

See the "fuzzy" areas near the dorsal in the last two pics? Those are bars that are still developing. Mine keep changing until a little black starts to show up along the edges. Should be interesting how the onyx traits manifest.

Yeah. I'm not sure I'm up on the whole video telephone call thing. I scare little children in person, just think what I could do with a low-res, jerky camera. If you have any emails from me, the business phone line on the signature gets forwarded straight to the iPhone. Just don't call while I'm getting out of the shower or you may go blind.

The Camera is very nice. Makes it easy to upload pics to the internet. I still need to get the movie editor and try that out though.
